This powerful column provides you an opportunity to ask Rebecca those visibility/media questions, business questions, money questions, leadership, speaker, personal growth, and empowerment questions you have. Rebecca wants to help you overcome fear and bring your message forward. In each issue, Rebecca will select 1 to 3 questions to answer.

Question 1:

Dear Rebecca, what is the “right formula” for allocating time to creating and leveraging a brand? For example, books, videos, blogs, speaking, webinars, workshops, and social media.

~Deb Dutcher, Energy Unlimited Coach

Dear Deb, thank you for your question. The quick answer is it depends. It depends on your short term and long term goals around visibility, brand, and marketing. It’s really important that you have plan and a strategy to create and leverage your brand. This plan will help you prioritize, see how your brand is being received, select which activities and platforms make sense for your time, energy and budget. You may find, you don’t need to do all of the above activities, but select a powerful few that play to your strengths and how you like to connect with your people. It may not make sense to do all, or perhaps to target one or two, fine tune and then leverage from those platforms.

I encourage you to spend some time thinking about what you are wanting to achieve by leveraging your brand and increasing your visibility. How you know you’ve accomplished this. Then, take a look at where you are currently against you band and visibility goals. Then work on a plan that helps you move forward from where you are at to where you want to be. You may want to sit with a business coach and or visibility/branding expert to look at your brand and visibility to see what is working well, what could be improved to achieve your goals. I always like to remind everyone that life and business in not a solo journey. We don’t have to try and do everything on our own. I believe it’s important that we are willing to lean in and get support and help to move forward powerfully in the world. I hope this information is helpful and I look forward to seeing your beautiful brand SHINE!

Question 2:

Dear Rebecca, as an entrepreneur it’s so easy to work 24 hours-a-day. How do you create work/life balance?

~Debbie Hoffman, Empower Your Results Now

Dear Debbie, Thank you so much for your beautiful question. I find it’s really important for us to carve out time for ourselves, our family, exercise, downtime, vacation time etc. By doing this, then I can look at the calendar and truly see how many hours are left for work, sleep, the unexpected surprises or challenges. When I focus in on truly how much time I have or am choosing to dedicate to my business, it helps me prioritize and select those activities that will move my business and goals forward most effectively (without burning myself out or swinging from one working extreme to playing all the time). It’s easy to find lots of “work activities” that we can do….like organizing files (all the time) instead of making the business call we need to make or perfecting an article or program (over and over). This leads us to getting us caught in the getting-ready-to-get-ready cycle rather than moving forward.
