Dear Rebecca, as a new business it can be overwhelming to figure out which form of marketing will bring the most results for effort spent. What guidance can you give to help me see the direction and channel I should pursue?

question about marketing!

This is a great question! You are correct, there are many options and opportunities one can explore and lean into. I believe it’s important to first explore the results you are looking for. Who are you trying to reach and where are they? Where are you already marketing and how is that working or could be shifted to be even more effective. Then as you gain clarity on who you are trying to reach….look at where they are. Explore ways to reach them. See what mediums they respond to. I always encourage testing the waters, try things out first and add larger commitments of time, energy and resources once you’ve determined this is a good direction for you. You want to allow enough time/energy and commitment to get results…but not be so committed that you can’t try anything else or

tweak how you are showing up in that space or additional spaces and ways you may want to try as you discover what works most effectively. So,

1. Gain clarity.

2. Go to where the people are that you are trying to reach.

3. Start small and test the waters.

4. Review the Results.
