past, tomorrow is another day. Work with what you have and look ahead.

2. Perfection is overrated. It is also not fair to you, nor compassionate, to expect yourself

to be perfect. This also can create a crash with regard to your goals and intentions.

Being average, or normal, in your attempt to take better care of yourself is a kind way to

approach improving your health.

3. Consider getting help if you feel stuck. We are used to hiring a contractor to remodel

our kitchen, a financial adviser to guide us through financial planning, and a landscape

company to help create a beautiful yard. A Health Coach plays that role in the context of

your body-based goals and concerns. The results can be life-changing.

~Will you share a client success story?

Last week a very dear client, who I will name Felicia, agreed to allow her diagnosis of

diabetes to be a turning point for her. Courageously she worked through pretty intense

emotions after she received the diagnosis. And now she has begun to make adjustments

on many fronts, making it a priority to nourish her body and her soul. She knows she

can’t go back, and she wishes that she did not put herself at risk. But she is working

with what she has and is now prepared to heal her body.

~What tip or piece of advice can you share with our reader today to empower them

to SHINE?

It is an honor to live an embodied life. However long we had bad habits does not

dictated the future. Living with no regrets and having a taste of freedom is worth the

personal work and practice required. Loving our bodies, nourishing our bodies, and

continuing to improve may become among the most important pieces of personal

development we will ever experience.

~Any final thought, share, or idea that you would like to share with our readers

today?

As I write this, over 1000 people have been affected by the fires in Northern California,

near to my home. It is tragic and catastrophic beyond description. One of my clients

today discovered that his preoccupation with his health is a misuse of his energy. He

wants to help these people and others in his community. And he must be well, have

energy, and be able to rely on his body in order to do this.

Making our health a priority and providing our bodies with nourishment, rest, spiritual

connection, and hydration will always impact others. This is often the linchpin to

inspire someone to make some adjustments. This could be you.
