Ready for 2019 to be the year all of the blood, sweat, and tears of millions of past moments propel you powerfully into living your purpose?

Perhaps you could use a few words of inspiration to guide your steps going forward…

Speak Up. Speak up with confidence and courage. Your voice and your story matter! It breaks my heart that so many people feel they don’t have a story and that it doesn’t matter. And they feel frustrated and invisible. No one else has had your experiences from your perspective. No one else can tell your story with your passion. All of our experiences and the wisdom resulting from those experience shapes us into the people we are today. Someone is waiting to hear your story. Your story alone will have an impression that someone’s life. If you do not share your story, that person will not have the life they were meant to live. I promise you your story matters. Speak up with confidence.

When I was 8-years-old, I used to stand on a beautiful stage and wow my audiences with my performances. Every ear eagerly awaited what I’d say next. Of course, my stage was a giant boulder at the edge of a grove of trees, and I was facing a field full of corn ready to be harvested. But I knew I was gonna be interviewed someday, and I would be prepared…even if no one else in my world thought it would ever happen to me.

Today I have had some amazing opportunities, the privilege of being invited to be a presenter on many beautiful stages, my work as a writer is well respected, and my life is pretty wonderful. But it hasn’t always been that way. I had to I spoke up in my writing and in my talks.

Tackle your fears. We all are ready to unmask and reveal the hidden YOU?

Unmask your potential…step out and shine.

As we gather together at this special time of year, I’m sending you these words of cheer…

May your days be merry and bright! Christmas in California is certainly different than my childhood in Minnesota. No snow to shovel, or cold temperatures to cause us to dash from car to shopping mall. Christmas baking and a real tree are cherished traditions I continue to enjoy.

Excitement is in the air...are your stockings hung by the chimney with care? Growing up, we never had a real fireplace, so we never did it. Now, I wouldn't miss a year where we hang up our stockings.

Remember those loved ones you hold near and dear...though far away the sights and sounds of past Christmases are crystal clear. Grandma's house was holiday central when I was a little girl. Our extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and special family friends came together. These days although we are spread from coast to coast, we have that connection to our past and foundation for our future.

Reindeer games? Will you be joining in any special activities? Every year Sacred Heart Elementary put on a Christmas pageant...I was Mary several years. I don't know if it was type casting (Mary the shy, quiet one) or if I could be spared from the choir because my voice although enthusiastic was less than melodic.

Young and the-young-at-heart sharing stories around the table or tree. My daughter started dance class at age 3. That was also the year I took her to a matinee performance of The Nutcraker. I couldn't keep her in her seat and she happily danced in the aisle along with the Sugarplum Fairy. It is one of my favorite memories of Christmas.

Do you have a favorite holiday memory?

Do you have a special treasure you received as a holiday gift?

I'd love to hear all about it...Please share...
