~ Who is your audience?

My book touches so many areas of my life, I would say this has broadened the range considerably. I delve into challenges I experienced as a teen that made poor choices, a twenty-something year old early in my career, a thirty something year old moving abroad and later having a difficult pregnancy. I share experiences that are universal and not age or gender specific, such as making major life changes in moving overseas or the power of forgiveness and its profound impact on my life and those of others. I would have to say, because of the subjects covered in my book, its difficult to narrow the audience down to only one demographic.

~ Tell us something you have overcome or success you have achieved. I am proud of many achievements in my life, but the one that is closest to my heart is the rebuild relationship with my mother. I learned so much about myself when I started to develop

a relationship with her. It not only deepened my faith but it helped me to see the power of forgiveness and the liberation of letting go of bitterness and resentment. I had convinced myself that I would be considered weak if I allowed myself to be vulnerable, but to my surprise I learned just how strong I was when I took the first step to mend a relationship that many considered irreparable. We are now the best of friends and this makes me most proud!

~ What is one thing you would tell others if they want to write?

I would highly recommend keeping a journal or setting time aside every day to write. If your goal is to write a book and be published, make it your aim to do so, and never give up! Your story may exactly what someone needs to hear or in this case, read to know they are going to be alright.
