What gave you the idea of linking the passion you have for fly fishing and this awesome mission to helpkids?
Even the first thought of FFC was collaboration between my wife and me. It all started with a little quest I made a couple of years ago to better understand what it means to be fully human. Now we’re all human (obviously) but how do we live as humans the way that I believe we were intended to? In answering that question I kept coming back to three major themes.
1) Create beautiful things. 2) Steward creation carefully. 3) Don’t exist for self.
I began to put everything in my life through that grid and it completely changed the way that I live; even the way that I fish. Fly-fishing turned into something more than a just a hobby to please myself, it turned into a passion that I can use to live out all three of these distinct purposes. With this consideration my darling wife actually came up with the idea of using fly-fishing to fundthe Tilapia farms.
