Obligatory question here. What is your favorite style of fishing? I mean, do you prefer nymphing, dries, other topwater junk, stripping streamers, swinging?

My favorite style of fishing is probably stripping streamers. Theres just something awesome about watching a fish come out of nowhere and slamming a big streamer, or sometimes even cooler, not seeing the fish, and just feeling the fish hit so hard it almost rips the rod out of your hands.

I really like any type of reaction fishing. Topwater for warmwater species is amazing when the bite is on, stripping streamers of coarse. Even big dries are fun to fish for that reaction bite for the trout.

But to be completely honest. I like any type of fishing that catches fish. Im not the most delicate caster on the planet, but if tossing a little dry is the only thing that is working, ill do it, but id much prefer casting and stripping over watching a dry or an indicator ( in trout fishing)

So we know that you went to school and studied art, but what is your true favorite subject matter?

I really enjoy figure drawing. The human body is an amazing thing that comes in so many shapes, sizes, colors, each has their own story to tell so to speak. Its really fun as an artist to be able to look at that and interperate that information, and look beyond just what is there in front of you.

Is there a favorite medium that you have? Pen, graphite, paint, etc?

Strangely, Ive never really been attracted to grand value changes in art. I like to work very flat, and use a lot of contours to define shapes. Markers, and pens have tended to be my favorite, but I really wish that i had more access to screen printing, I really felt excited working in that medium, I feel like it leant itself to my style and a big part of what attracts me to being an artist is the process, and I loved the process of making prints.
