Daniel Perez speaks to Sylvia, a doctor who came to London from Kenya as
part of her specialist medical training. Despite terrible family circumstances and
finding herself alone here in London, Sylvia tells how God cared for her
and showed himself to be the true healer of both body and soul.
I
came to the UK from Kenya in March
2016 to pursue some studies in my field of
specialisation as a doctor. I was introduced to
Kensington Temple by a colleague at work who
randomly asked me which church I attended. I told
her that I hadn’t found any church that I felt was
spiritually uplifting. That was how I found KT
and since then I have never looked back. personal relationship with him. I came to the
UK under very difficult circumstances. My youngest
brother – to whom I was really close – had died just
five months earlier in a tragic road accident. I was
grieving so much that I felt that my communication
with God was at an all-time low. I was really
devastated, and I questioned God everyday as
to how he could have let that happen.
I am a believer but I must say that I was quite
lukewarm. I knew God but I didn’t have a really I was introduced by the KT welcome team to a
lady called Martha, who then invited me to join
