Se estructura en varios ámbitos temáticos que van desde la pintura religiosa y devocional hasta su obra so- bre temas profanos: retratos y escenas protagonizadas por personajes po- pulares. Through 55 works, the exhibition offers a complete chronological and thematic tour of Murillo's career. It is structured into several thematic areas ranging from religious and devotional painting to his work on pro- fane subjects: portraits and scenes including popular characters. A com- plete vision in which there is room for paintings of diverse themes, pe- riods and different supports that allow the revision of Murillo's simplistic prejudice as a painter of Immaculate Conceptions. Ser víctima de un gran depredador es muy distinto de serlo de una criatura pequeña y misteriosa dotada de un poder letal. Muchos seres vi- vos contienen sustancias tóxicas o venenosas que utilizan para defender- se de sus depredadores o para capturar a sus presas. La presencia de es- tas sustancias implica el desarrollo de sofisticados mecanismos de producción, almacenamiento e inyección del veneno. La exposición 'Ve- neno' ofrece un recorrido por el mundo del veneno a través de animales venenosos vivos, maquetas, interactivos, info- grafías, proyecciones audiovi- suales y elementos históricos. Poison has terrified human beings since the beginning of time because it is a vital dan- ger hidden from view and of- ten incomprehensible. Being the victim of a great predator is very different from being the victim of a small and mysterious creature endowed with lethal power. Many living beings con- tain toxic or poisonous substances that they use to defend themselves from their predators or to capture their prey. The presence of these subs- tances implies the development of sophisticated mechanisms for the pro- duction, storage and injection of the poison. The exhibition 'Veneno' of- fers a journey through the world of poison through live poisonous animals, models, interactives, infographics, audio visual projections and histori- cal elements.
