No . Sin embargo , la lengua sólo requiere de un corto tiempo ( las primeras semanas ) para adaptarse a los brackets y mejorar la pronunciación .
¿ La higiene es más difícil que con los brackets convencionales ?
No lo es . Al igual que con la ortodoncia convencional , el paciente debe de ser muy cuidadoso con la higiene de la aparatología para evitar la formación de caries o enfermedad periodontal .
¿ Se pueden tratar todos los casos con ortodoncia lingual ?
Esta técnica puede resolver desde los casos más sencillos hasta los más complicados ya que es un sistema muy efectivo y preciso , pero que requiere de entrenamiento especializado para poder ser aplicado correctamente .
La ortodoncia lingual no solamente nos sirve para alinear los dientes , sino también para mejorar la oclusión y el perfil del paciente .

Para someterse a este tipo de tratamiento es necesario realizar un buen diagnóstico basado en una serie de estudios radiográficos , fotográficos y de modelos de la dentadura para poder ofrecer un plan de tratamiento adecuado para cada caso .
