Why did you join the ASC?
I heard about it from a friend (hi Shrutika!) and joined
instantly because I realized I was getting dangerously
close to being a lawyer who only knows other lawyers,
which meant a lot of painfully boring conversations and
even worse jokes.
Favorite place in Atlanta?
The airport, because you can order a bloody Mary
before 12:30 on a Sunday.
How would your friends describe you? Bubbly, wellcaffeinated, and never on time.
Who would you want to play you in a movie of your
life? Anna Kendrick, even though she looks nothing like
me, just because her tweets are hilarious.
Smita Gautam
Smita Gautam is a Midwestern transplant who moved
down to Atlanta four years ago and never looked back. She
grew up in Cleveland (home of the best shuffle there is),
attended The Ohio State University, and has a major crush
on Urban Meyer.
What is your favorite summer activity? Pretending
I’m going to go on an evening run but really just going
for a nice long walk in the park and waving to all the
cute little old couples and their puppies.
She’s a real estate attorney during the day, and spends the
rest of her time cooking Chrissy Teigen recipes, making
impulse purchases at every ClassPass studio in the city,
spending long flights reading books written for teen girls,
finishing crossword puzzles with only a little help from
Google, and wondering how to get to 11 Instagram likes so
you only see the number.
Interested in being
featured in REVEAL?
Her greatest accomplishments to date include being able to
quote every word of My Big Fat Greek Wedding and finally
learning to paint her nails with her left hand. She never
decided if she was #TeamEdward or #TeamJacob but she’s
definitely #TeamLogan and still holding out hope that Rory
will finally make the right choice.

She’s been a member of Atlanta Social Club since April, and
has loved attending the group fitness classes, leading the
Buckhead book club (join!) and meeting so many incredible,
smart, fun ladies.
