Why did you join the ASC?
I wanted to make some new girlfriends since my
interests have changed the older I have gotten.
Favorite place in Atlanta?
My favorite place is Piedmont Park. I love being
outdoors and seeing the city skyline.
What three things do you think of the most
each day?
I think about my company, health/happiness and food.
What makes you laugh the most?
My dog sure makes me laugh a lot. She has a very quirky
personality and is always into mischief. Mutts are the
best <3

Jaclyn Van Camp is a 28-year-old that started Southern
Grove Candles in the fall of 2014. Inspired by the
timeless elegance of the South, she sought to create
a stylish eco-friendly candle that would look great
in anyone’s home. Handcrafted here in Georgia with
domestically grown soy wax, a wood / cotton wick and
phthalate-free fragrance oils; she developed a sustainable
aromatic soy candle line.

Never did she think that a little Pinterest hobby would
turn into a profitable business. With over 25 store
locations, her mission is to keep spreading the word
about soy candles and growing her brand. What Jaclyn
has learned from this journey so far is that passion and
sheer determination can turn any idea into a reality. She
encourages young women to pursue their dreams no
matter how silly they may seem to some.
When she is not hand pouring candles Jaclyn spends her
time traveling and exploring new trendy spots around
Atlanta. She is an avid tennis player, loves cooking,
reading, hiking and attending ASC events with friends.
