FASD Key Worker
What is an FASD Key Worker? Key Workers assist
families in understanding Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
by providing education and information specific to the needs
of the child and family. They are familiar with community
resources, assisting families in accessing support, health
and education services, and are involved in the
development of local support services.
How will the FASD Key Worker work with us?
The Key Worker may help you in a variety of ways:
meet you at your home or at our office to discuss your specific needs
go through the formal assessment processes, and assist with
implementing recommendations from the assessment
suggest new strategies for working with your child
lend you books, DVDs, and other relevant material about FASD
provide you with information about other services and resources
connect you to other parents, and parent support groups
How do I get an FASD Key Worker?
Children who qualify for an FASD Key Worker are 0-19 years and
are awaiting diagnosis or are diagnosed with FASD or Complex
Behavior Disorder.

Local Food Initiative Little Sprouts Program
The Little Sprouts Program teaches young children about where their food comes from
and gives them a chance to get their hands dirty in their plot at the Downtown
Community Garden. Garden parties throughout the summer are aimed at discovering
a variety of garden topics such as pollination, herbs, compost and harvesting.
