Who are We?
The Revelstoke Speech and Language Services is staffed
by Carolyn Duncan, Speech-Language Pathologist, who is
dedicated to improving the communication skills of children
aged 0 to 6 years of age.
What do we do?
We serve families of children with speech, language or
hearing difficulties. Our goal is to provide an individualized
service that meets the needs of every family. There is no
cost for this service.
Your child should have a speech and language check if…
Your 6 month old does not smile at you or “play” with sounds.
Your 12 month old is quiet, does not “talk” in “baby language”.
Your 18 month old does not use 10 single words.
Your 2 year old is not saying 2 words together.
Your 3 year old is not starting to talk in sentences.
Your 4 year old is not understood by everyone.
You’ve wondered if she was “slow to talk”
You have doubts about your child’s hearing.

speech, language or hearing development.
Communication difficulties can be helped even before age one!
Questions about your child’s communication?
Anyone can refer a child for speech and language services. Parents and others can
simply call the Speech-Language Services at 250-837-4285 with any questions.
