Lacoste debuts first concept store in SEA

A personalised embroidery workshop is available in the store to offer customisation for consumers who want to personalise their Lacoste polos with their initials .
FRENCH brand Lacoste recently opened a new store at Raffles City Shopping Centre in Singapore featuring its latest concept : “ Le Club ”. A first in South-east Asia , the company said the new concept reflects the synthesis of the brand and its creator René Lacoste in one location : the club .
The 1,873sqf space is reminiscent of a tennis court with vintage design elements in line with the brand ’ s heritage . These elements are juxtaposed against natural wood that gives the store a brightness which lets light in . The fitting rooms are also designed to look like locker rooms .
The store offers a complete range of apparel , leather goods , fragrances and footwear . It features the polo wall which showcases Lacoste ’ s iconic L . 12.12 polo shirts in its full colour range , including the newly launched Paris Polo which is inspired by a dress shirt but created with the freedom and comfort of a polo .
This store will also carry runway collections and special collections including the 85th anniversary collection . A personalised embroidery workshop was also built into the store to offer customisation option for consumers who want to personalise their Lacoste polos with their initials .
The new concept is part of the brand ’ s strategy to create a stronger brand identity and to strengthen the brand ’ s premium status throughout its global markets . ra

Raffles City Chongqing to open in phases from 2Q 2019

REAL ESTATE company CapitaLand recently reported that construction on Raffles City Chongqing in south-western China is about 80 % completed and the 1.12-million-sqm megastructure is on track to open in phases from 2Q next year .
Raffles City Chongqing will be home to the Sino-Singapore Collaboration Centre , an initiative by CapitaLand and Chongqing ’ s Yuzhong District government aimed at bridging companies pursuing cross-border expansion to the growth opportunities in Chongqing .
Lim Ming Yan , president and group CEO of CapitaLand Group , said : “ Raffles City Chongqing is a landmark urban renewal project that expresses and shapes Chongqing ’ s global city aspirations .
