Charles and Carol Yoder’s involvement with the BSO began with a
subscription several years before they moved to Baltimore from the
DC suburbs. “We found the Orchestra to be excellent and the Meyerhoff
a much more welcoming hall than we were used to.” Their reasons for
giving range from the value of the music itself to the BSO’s commitment
to its community. “We believe that a great city is defined, in part, by
a great orchestra—and with programs such as Maestra Alsop’s OrchKids,
the BSO is a great orchestra in ways that transcend music.”
