Homeowners’ associations spend a considerable amount of their time addressing matters that may remotely affect security, whether it is inside or immediately outside the estate’s boundaries, or within the personal confines of a home on their estate. Today however, residents include increasing having expectations security less costly, yet more windows and doors with no supporting intruder doors and parked cars, along with, more often than not, luxury commodities strewn on their front lawns. Given these non-negotiable security expectations from residents and the complexities surrounding the implementation of security, HOA’s and estate security managers have a daunting task as they decide on what is required, whom they should by measures in place that are less intrusive, invisible, more convenient, without walls, picket-type fences, non-burglar type effective. Above all, HOA’s and their security managers are expected to realise all these expectations acquire the service from and what they should pay for this service - a bundle of complex decisions.
