E��ISTE� A�IAT�R TRAINING AT RAF HALTON

THE SKILLS YOU ACQUIRE AS AN E��ISTE� A�IAT�R WON ’ T JUST PREPARE YOU FOR THE RAF , THEY WILL ENHANCE YOUR WORK AND CIVILIAN LIFE
As an Enlisted Aviator you ’ ll undertake your Basic Recruit Training Course in two parts . Your initial training will take place with your squadron . This comprises training over four weekends that cover both theory and practical applications – everything from kit preparation to Air Power lessons .
When ready , you ’ ll then undertake the second stage , a 15-day residential course held at RAF Halton . This course provides you with your Initial Force Protection Training , which includes : skill at arms ; fi rst aid ; and chemical ; biological ; radiological and nuclear protection training . The highlight will be graduation , which formally marks the completion of your Phase One Reserve Training . There are two opportunities each year ( May and September ) for Reserve recruits to return to RAF Halton to graduate alongside their Regular counterparts , forming a combined Regular and Reserve graduation .
You ’ re now ready for your Phase Two specialist training undertaken at a separate training school .
