Table 3 illustrates the amount of funding RSP was able to reinvest into UWF faculty research projects and laboratories. projects and laboratories. These funds were provided by a state appropriation to the Office of Economic Opportunity and Engagement separate from the 2016-2017 RSP operating budget. Internal grants are a critical part of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs as these grants provide faculty with an array of support options to help build their research and scholarly portfolio.
Since the start of the RSP internal grant programs in 2002, RSP has served 194 unique faculty members and has funded over $2.2 million dollars in internal funding.
