Natural Hair On Fleek

Who knew that one day natural afro hair will trend around the world?

Many women have opt relaxing their hair and settled for natural hair instead.

Not taking anything away from the women who prefer relaxed hair, it is no lie that society and the media in the past have influenced women around the world into believing that only straight hair is beautiful.

The term Natural hair is defined as relaxer-free hair, which is different from chemical free hair. Black natural hair is sometimes labelled as nappy hair that needs to be corrected by a relaxer.

Well that is no longer the case….

Because now the African continent and the world at large have broken away from that shell and now embrace their natural hair and see it as beautiful, because it is beautiful.

However it is a known fact that many women for many years have been true to their natural hair. It may seem like the in thing in the 21st century but for many women rocking their natural hair has been life and dates way back.

I commend people like South African singer Lira, for as long as I can remember she has had natural hair for years. People like Bonnie Mbuli, Claire Mawisa, Lauren Hill, these women are a great example of being truly and proudly African and African American. I wish I knew what these women knew back then concerning natural hair and true beauty.

Many people including myself, most women actually we want our hair to be healthy and grow faster, unfortunately there is no miracle pill for that.

It is a proven fact that a healthy diet plays a huge role in growing and keeping your hair healthy. foods high in Vitamin A,B,C and E, Iron, Zinc and Selenium an obviously the oldest trick in the book is drinking water and moisturizing your hair, as our hair is sensitive and dry therefore prone to breakage.

“I plated my hair a lot. Washing and treatment. It is essential to also give your hair a break from plating for like a week or so. I ddnt even loose my hairline. Moisturising hair sprays are good for natural hair, it really prevents it from breaking”
