The following year she won the JUNO for ‘Reggae Recording of the Year’ for the single “You Won’t See Me Cry” and a ‘Female Singer Of the Year’ nomination at the 19h Annual Canadian Reggae Music Awards. The following year she won a second Juno for her album “WYSIWYG”. Not only does she write for herself but she has co-penned songs on the “My Rules” album by Patria and the “Can’t Get over You” album by Pop Sensation ‘3Deep’. Sonia describes her music as the “G-Pop Reggae Sound” because it’s all about the empowerment of girls. You can catch Sonia live locally singing with the Ska band ‘The Arsenals’.
