artist Alicia ‘Ms Diva’
Anderson continues her
journey in the reggae
realm. On the heels of a
busy 2017 promoting her
sophomore debut release
“Seven Shades of Love” in
both
Jamaica
and
Trinidad, the album is
available for download and
purchase on ITunes; and
Miss Diva continues her
frantic pace by creating
new material.
Currently in studio working
on a new album titled
“Stronger”, which is slated
for a late summer release,
the EP will definitely
feature the smooth and
alluring “Find Your Way to
Me”; collaboration with
iconic veteran singer Glen
Washington which was
recorded in the famed Vernon Maytone’s studio. The single was well
received and raised many eyebrows. “My early days in the reggae industry
were heady and exciting with lots to learn. This time I’m working with a
wider pool of artists and creators and that’s why I feel this time I can only
be stronger,” says Ms Diva. Watch out for Ms Diva in 2018.

February 23rd and 25th. He spoke
to the Jamaica Observer about the
flagship event. “It was exceptionally
well attended. It is growing, as we
had around 350 people in
attendance; that wouldn’t be big if it
were a dancehall/reggae festival,
but this is poetry,” Yasus Afari told
the Observer.
“It was our biggest turnout of
children since the event’s inception
and that means a lot. We had the
biggest turnout of newbies and the
widest representation from across
the
parishes,”
he
added.
Performers included Ka’Bu Ma’at
Kheru, Mutabaruka, Dr Michael
Abrahams, Dr Charmaine Gooden-
Monteith, Professor Clinton Hutton,
Ann-Marie Wilmot, Kevin O’Brien
Chang, Anord Sichinsambwe,
Asante Amen, Mark Stephenson,
Addis Pablo, Ashley Little, and the
ever-present Yasus, who paid
homage to a particular group.
