on campus for Homecoming to applaud our
theatre department and alumni artists, celebrate
our Alumni Award winners and Hall of Fame
inductees, and of course cheer at our first ever
Homecoming Football Game (42 to 6. GO
SAINTS!)—then you know how Sr. Peg Albert,
our University president, is moving the margins
for our beloved University. You have heard about
all the exciting changes happening at the University in this and past issues of Reflections. During
Homecoming we dedicated Dawson Field and
O’Laughlin Stadium and broke ground on the
Spencer Athletic Complex; and by the time this
magazine reaches most of you, we will have had
the groundbreaking for the new student center.

“I guess you say, what can make me feel this
way?” I quote Fr. Tom Helfrich at, and the classic
Motown song playing before, the groundbreaking of the new Mary and Sash Spencer Athletic
Complex during Homecoming.
Although timely and funny, Fr. Tom’s question
seems appropriate thinking back on last year’s
Homecoming festivities. Exhilarating does
