Georgene Grattan ’82 lives in San Gabriel, CA, and is a financial consultant practicing in Los Angeles. Two of her five children work in the firm, Grattan Financial Strategies. Her husband retired from GM 15 years ago “and loves it” but Georgene owns two other California firms and plans “to work for some more years since I enjoy great health.” Of California, she writes, “While the challenge of earthquakes is always present, the dangers in other states seem to be equal and then there is this great weather we enjoy most months of the year.” Bruce Swart ’82 and his wife Annette White Swart ’83 have lived in a variety of locations in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana but currently live a short drive north of Siena Heights in the town of Saline with their children Vivianne (15) and Jacob (13). Annette runs the Village Inn Restaurant. Bruce just started a new job as Chief Financial Officer of Ann Arbor Machine Company, a $50 million machine building company; previously, he was CFO of Hexabits, also in Ann Arbor. Bruce credits his Siena education for helping him “obtain my CPA certification, become the youngest Director in United Technologies history, and become part owner of my own company. But the most pride comes from our marriage of 23 years and the incredible family we have built.” Chris Moran’82 is executive director of the InterFaith Council for Social Service, Pittsboro, NC, where he lives with wife Cheryl Uphoff-Moran ’76. Colleen Mikin DeVito ’92 lives in Mayfield Village and works as a Project Manager at Progressive Insurance. She and her husband Sam have a daughter, Mia. Catherine Yezak ’92 of Gwinn recently completed her teaching certification for special education/ emotional impairment for grades K-12 and English for grades 6-12 at Northern Michigan University. She is hoping for a job in special education. Jennifer Bailey Strommer ’93 lives in Grand Blanc with her husband, Eric, and their two sons, Samuel Eric (5) and Jack Edward (2). Beth Pennington ’94/MA of Morenci recently published her first book, “The Swamp Princess.”The book aims to help women confront issues of selfabuse through a combination of Biblical teachings and standard counseling techniques.
