Athletics News saints highlights Winter Sports Men’s Basketball The Siena Heights men’s basketball team ended its season with a loss to Concordia in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament. The Saints finished with a record of 7-24. Junior forward Victor Hamilton (Detroit, Mich.) earned a spot on the third team allleague squad. The 6-foot-6 forward also was named to the league’s allnewcomer team. Senior guard Justin Norlock (Warren, Mich.) was a first team WHAC all-defensive team member, while senior guard Dante Perkins (left, Toledo, Ohio), was Siena’s Champions of Character honoree. Women’s Basketball Led by the record-setting performance of senior forward Laura Panozzo (read more on Panozzo’s accomplishments and career in this issue), the Siena Heights women’s basketball team finished the season 17-13. The 17 wins is only the second time in the program’s history a team has accomplished that total. Panozzo (Berkley, Mich.) became the program’s all-time scorer and rebounder while earning honorable mention NAIA All-American honors. She was also chosen to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference first team for the second straight season. Junior forward Holly Meier (Sterling Heights, Mich.) was selected third team allconference, while senior guard Jen Hoffman led the team with 60 3-point shots made, only six shy of the single-season rec ܙ
