The Annual Fund Is A Circle That Keeps Growing Every Year It starts with a student who has benefited from the Annual Fund and ends with a student who has benefited from the Annual Fund. How is that possible? It’s possible because the Annual Fund is supported by alumni with firsthand knowledge of the value of a Siena Heights education and by friends who believe in Siena’s mission. This fund supports current students in a variety of ways. Among the ways the Annual Fund supports and benefits students is through scholarships, new technology, library periodicals, and academic program support. We have classrooms outfitted with state-of-the art technology and a library stocked with the best periodicals. Tuition alone does not cover this cost, that’s why the Annual Fund is so important. Speaking of tuition, scholarships become more important as many of our students face cuts in financial aid from the state. The additional financial burdens these cuts place on our students and their families are sometimes the roadblock that keeps someone from finishing their degree. At Siena, we do our best to provide scholarships help students bridge the gap between financial aid and what they or their parents can afford. A gift from you of $1,000 can provide a scholarship for a student in need and it’s a great way to show that you support a Siena Heights education! Of course, every gift to the Annual Fund is important, no matter the size! Gifts from each new generation of Siena graduates, paired with those from faithful alumni and friends, enable us to provide our current students with the same opportunities you enjoyed. In addition to maintaining our strong academic programs, we’re also working to improve our physical facilities, provide academic support for our faculty and make our residence halls a great place to live. Dominican tradition of sharing gifts, to help us reach our goal. Simply use the envelope included in this issue of Reflections to make your gift today. Thank you for being an important link in our circle by supporting Siena Heights University. For example, we’re planning a $50,000 project to create a centralized laundry room in the lower level of Ledwidge Residence Hall. We want to give our students a clean, bright facility that’s easy to access and convenient to use. To continue to make improvements and maintain our academic quality, we need your help.
