In April, he visited Siena Heights and shared some of his experiences in a presentation on “Satellite-Based Land Cover Change Detection, Enhanced with Statistical Modeling.” He lives in Greenbelt, MD. Ted Hanosh ‘91, ‘99/MA and his wife, Stephanie, a former member of the Siena Heights admissions staff, announce the birth of a son, Alexander Carver, on March 18. They live in Adrian. Terry Judy ‘91 is “enjoying life and reaping the benefits of my education.” He is a plant manager for Midwest Stamping, Inc. in Sumter, SC, where he lives with his wife, Debra. Elizabeth Benington Downing ‘91 and her husband, D.J., of Hilliard, OH, welcomed daughter Anna Lucette on March 21. Elizabeth plans to be a stay-at-home mom with Anna and big brother Joseph (3.5). Sharon Webster ‘91 of North Adams, coordinator of the writing center at Siena Heights, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of the East Central Writing Centers Association, a regional division of the National Writing Centers Association. She also serves as chair for the Michigan Writing Centers Association. Emma Gene Peters ‘91, ‘93/MA recently located to Hutto, TX, just outside of Austin. She is teaching U.S. history at nearby Temple College, and is preparing to teach a Women’s Studies course this fall. Anthony ‘91 and Amy Miller Aiken ‘92 live in Onsted with their two daughters. Tony is a wood shop teacher at Onsted Community Schools. He also coaches football and uses his builder’s license to do side jobs in the summer. Katherine Prush Leibengood ‘92 and her husband, James, announce the birth of their second child, Joel Andrew, May 24. Big brother Jimmy is two. They reside in Granger, IN. Jan Copeland McCrady ‘92 lives in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL with her husband, Don. She is a social worker for Hospice of Lake & Sumter, Inc., where she’s worked for eight years. Michael Davis ‘92 and his wife, Carrie, recently adopted a daughter, Bethany, from China. Bethany was 10 months old when Michael and Carrie flew to Beijing in April to bring her home to Aurora, IL. Michael, who recently completed a master’s degree at the University of Detroit Mercy, is in pharmaceutical sales. Carrie works part-time as a certified CT scan operator. Debra Tabarez ‘92, ‘96/MA of Adrian is one of the founders of Cambios, Inc., a non-profit antiracism organization that provides multi-cultural resources to parents, teachers and children. Cambios has donated multicultural literature to elementary school libraries through- tions officer and we live at Lake Somerset. We enjoy boating, fishing, sports, and playing fetch with our black lab, Barry.” Michelle Cornell ‘92 of Eaton Rapids began a new job in February as a technical specifications writer with Centromine in Ann Arbor. Her work includes analysis of software design, configuration management, hardware requirements, implementation planning, creation and maintenance of user and technical specifications documentation, and testing related to web development. Previously, she spent 2 1/2 years with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in Lansing and 4 1/2 years with the Medstat Group in Ann Arbor. Anna Gallegos ‘93 of Brighton is Alumni Notes from SHU in Monroe Siena Heights University at Monroe County Community College is celebrating its 10th anniversary. More than 300 alumni have earned their Siena Heights degrees at Siena’s MCCC center since its founding in 1990. Jason McCarty ‘98 and Hallie Joy Heisler ‘00 were married out Lenawee County; and also gave a multicultural book to each of this year’s teacher education graduates at both SHU and Adrian College. Kathleen McCauley Bachman ‘92 was recently promoted to manager at Jackson Life Insurance Company. She lives in Eaton Rapids with her husband, John Bachman ’89. Manessa Irelan Braman ‘92 of Somerset writes: “The past eight years have flown by! Two weeks after graduation I found out that I was having twins! My kids, Leigha and Zachary, will be second graders this fall at Addison Elementary and they keep me very busy. I am a high school business/computer teacher at Sand Creek High School. Sr. Eileen prepared me for teaching and I love it. My husband, Todd, is a correc- March 4. The McCartys are living in Pensacola, FL.
