Christine Swartz Kaucher ‘86 of Tiffin, Ohio, teaches art (K-6), traveling among three buildings in the Seneca East local schools. She and husband Michael have two children, Erinn (3 1/2) and Colin (not yet 1). Meghan Mazurek Russell ‘86 of Bowling Green, Ohio, is an occupational therapist with Concept Rehab, Inc. Kelly Delor Selk ‘88 and husband Brian of Denver, Col., are parents of a daughter, Annie Louise (born in May), and a son, Ryan (2). Jamie Goode ‘87, adjunct faculty in art at Siena Heights, was one of five artists featured in this fall’s Classical Sculptures exhibition at 211 W. Fort in Detroit. The exhibit was organized by Paint Creek Center for the Arts. Barbara Ouellette, OP ‘87 completed an M.A. in pastoral theology at Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla. She works as a clinical chaplain at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale and is beginning doctoral studies in ethics. Barbara Walzem ‘87 was the sole member of the 10th reunion class in attendance at the Alumni Luncheon held during Alumni Weekend. Barbara was visiting from Rock Island, Ill., with her husband, Professor Emeritus William “Buzz” Walzem of the business department. Barbara and Buzz helped out as “celebrity chefs” at the afternoon tailgate party, where alumni, faculty, students and parents of current soccer players enjoyed hotdogs, popcorn and other goodies between other Alumni Weekend activities. Melissa Durbin ‘90 married Andrew Growden in July 1997. Scott Brazeau ‘89 is a Ferndale artist who makes sculptured furniture in steel. He was one of 90 artists who participated in the 11th annual Art on the Avenue juried show and sale in Dearborn in June. Aimee Nemeckay ’89, ’91/MA works in hospital administration in Chicago and published an article in Gab, a Chicago weekly, titled “Shifting Gears,” describing her experience bicycling in the 1996 Minneapolis-to-Chicago AIDS Ride.
