ZONE HOW GSU ALUM, TRIP ADDISON, TRAVERSES CHANGE JUST SIX YEARS AFTER CROSSING THE STAGE TO RECEIVE HIS MASTER’S DEGREE, GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY GRADUATE, TRIP ADDISON, RETURNED TO HIS ALMA MATER AS VICE PRESIDENT OF UNIVERSITY ADVANCEMENT AND EXTERNAL AFFAIRS. Having already inducted him into Georgia Southern’s 40 Under 40 class of 2014–an award recognizing young alumni that are “leading the way in business, leadership, community, education, and/or philanthrop- ic endeavors”–the university was pleased to welcome this Double Eagle graduate back into their ranks. The five years preceding this honor will show that Trip has devoted himself to each arena defining the award. It’s when he begins to delve into his passion and determination to impact his surrounding environments that one really gauges his ability. The beginning of a wonderful career was launched by nothing more than his “go get it” attitude. Long before Trip’s profes- sional path was concrete, Nathan Deal an- nounced that he was running for governor. His mother had the foresight to suggest that he join their campaign.
