What is you favorite Bible verse?
My favorite bible verse is Psalm 73:26
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but
God is the strength of my heart and
my portion forever.” I place that verse in every
video I upload. We are all human and make
mistakes but God is always there for us. He is
our portion forever.
Melissa Autry is a makeup artist who creates videos for her successful YouTube
channel. She is a mother, business woman, and a Christian. Her videos have
reached hundreds of thousands of woman with instructional beauty tutorials
and reviews. While Melissa enjoys creating videos for over 222,000 people who
subscribe to her channel, she also sees it as a way to share her Christian faith
with hurting woman. She is known for her positive and encouraging personality
which shines throughout her videos and into the lives of women everywhere.
My name is Melissa Autry from Memphis, TN. I got started on YouTube a
little over 3 years. I am a self-taught
makeup artist who decided to start doing
makeup reviews on YouTube for fun.
I was online
looking up
reviews on a
certain skincare line and
I
couldn’t
find any reviews on it so
I decided to do one myself. That’s how it all
started and I’ve loved every minute of it.

How has God used you to touch and
inspire some of the lives of your subscribers and social media followers?
I never hid my faith from the camera.
God was a part of me and if I was going to
do this then
I knew that I
had to share
that part of
me as well.
As my channel grew, I
saw YouTube
as a way to
witness while
filming. It is
my duty as a Christian to spread the Gospel
and if that means incorporating it in a makeup
video then that’s what I am going to do. I get

Where do you see God using you in
the next few years? God has blessed
me so much throughout these past
few years. I’m able to do YouTube full
time at home. I just started a second YouTube channel called “MoreThanMakeUpWithMel.” I also started my own makeup
line but I owe it all to Him! None of this
would have happened without God.
