Yes, but its been a while since I last watched a the history specials.

More that I believe that a place can hold residual energy in the form of a memory,
and that some people are more sensitive to that energy then others. Similar to
how one person may be more capable of hearing certain radio frequencies better
then others.
No, I personally have never seen one. I did have a few prophetic dreams as a
child.
