We often think of them and the things that they have done and are doing that is significant enough for us to consider them our heroes and sheroes. We find ourselves in awe of them at times, we speak well of them and sometimes find ourselves praising there good deeds don’t we?

Our Heroes and Sheroes come in many forms. For example:

1. Religious Leaders

2. Politicians

3. School Teachers

4. Celebrities

5. Entrepreneurs

6. Neighbors

7. Historians

8. Relatives

9. Friends

Heroes and Sheroes come in every age, race, country and have helped or inspired someone in Some way, shape, form or fashion. Why do we need Heroes and Sheroes you ask? We need them for several reasons. We have a

preference for people that are moral. Heroes and Sheroes nurtured us when we were young, our parents. Heroes and Sheroes often have qualities that we want and strive for. Heroes and sheroes often have the ability to lift us up when we are feeling down emotionally, physically, or spiritually. Heroes and Sheroes sometimes are entertainers with the ability to enlighten us with their gifts. Other Heroes and Sheroes provide us with wisdom. Therefore we tend to pick our personal Heroes and Sheroes according to what is important to us and our personal purpose and preferences. We also change them when he or she shows a flaw, a certain characteristic or does something we consider less moral.

Isn’t it wonderful to have Heroes and Sheroes? Yes it is. However, let us remember that our Heroes and sheroes will show you only one side of themselves. People change. Therefore my Hero is Jesus. He will remain the same both now and forever more. He won’t leave me or forsake me. He died for me. He walks with me in the midnight hours while all other Heroes and Sheroes are asleep. He talks with me. He is a mother for me as I am now motherless. He lift’s me up when I am feeling down. He is my rock in a weary land. He is my healer. He is my all and all.

He is my Hero! He won’t let me down. What about you? Who is your Hero or Shero? Hmmm.
