Words from the Senior Managing Editor…
Greetings
In the light of the Olympics coming to an end and the success of all the American athletes during this year’s
games in Rio, we can’t help but be proud of America the Beautiful. But as we all know there are parts of
America that we should not be so proud of. One of them is race relations in this country. As we look around the
media, outside our front doors for that matter, we are constantly reminded that there is an issue within the
borders of this country that continues to lead to division. From killing cops to cop killers, to hypocrisy as it
pertains to interpreting the Constitution, to gun violence and the right to bear arms, to shady politics, and
everything in between…we the people have to really take a honest look at ourselves in the mirror. In this issue
of MOF we will be delving into the issues of race relations and the injustices that occur on a daily basis. This will
be the beginning of a series of magazines that touch on this delicate matter. We aim to address any elephants
in the room. This issue also featuresPastor Steven Eugene Carter. Each month we strive to feature an influential
individual from the community that reflects our values and goals in the community. Pastor Eugene Carter will
not only talk to us about his great accomplishments as a man of God but discuss how he dealt with being
adopted and how he used adoption as motivation to transform himself into the man he is today. The month of
November is set aside for National Adoption Awareness Month. Spread the word for we need to bring
awareness to the world of adoption.
Our mission at MOF…isto address an array of topics that men not only want to hear about but also need to
hear about. The well-versed contributors of Men of Faith Magazine all write with the goal to educate, uplift,
motivate, and inspire. As men of faith we all must do our part in order to make this country a better place. We
write with the understanding that men need to be able to do more in order to help rectify the issues that
continue to plague our communities. We strive to feed the mind and soul of men while encouraging all men to
do their part in supporting the brotherhood of men. We hope that you enjoy this issue!
Much Love!
