therefore we must use encouragement in order to push positive outcomes . Lastly , the people that have the influence in this country are not doing enough to bring awareness to this subject matter . The ones that are always in the spotlight and tend to have the ability to gain more attention to the cause need to assist with mental health awareness . Who are these people with the biggest influence you ask ? The actors / actresses , the professional athletes , the musicians / rappers / singers , and the politicians is the answer to that question . These influences all need to use their influential voices to speak out and advocate for more mental health awareness initiatives . Besides people that are wealthy can get the services they need and no one will even know until they do something in the public eye that makes for a “ good ” story .
Understand this … mental illness does not discriminate . It doesn ’ t matter if you are wealthy , part of the middle class , or dirt poor … you too can be affected by a mental illness . We are seeing so many problems in the world today . Some mental illnesses are hereditary while others develop in the life of a person due to outside factors . Whatever the case … we have to do more in order to make mental health services more accessible to everyone ; do more to encourage people to seek help ; and most importantly do more to educate ourselves so we know the types of mental illnesses and the signs and symptoms of those mental illnesses . It is part of our civic duty !
