Humanity without Empathy is

live there. We should first look to understand the ghetto and the lifestyle forced upon the people that reside there before we judge and decide they are not worthy of respect and empathy. Deciding their actions are irrational is dismissive, something that a large majority of the U.S. population does to African Americans when we say “Black lives Matter”. No one will be empathetic to us if we aren’t empathetic to ourselves, no matter where we are on the social and financial totem pole in this country.

We scream we need unity, but do we really mean it? Are we including every one of us or just the ones that think and live like we do? No matter what, we are people of African descent and as much as we dislike being hurdled into one pot, the reality is this is how it is; so embracing each and every one of us.

is crucial for unity to be achieved. I don’t claim nor assume to have all the answers, but as a unified people we do. But until we regain our humanity and shed the characteristics of a selfish and violent

society we will never achieve the unity we need to overcome the many obstacles we face worldwide.

Just like Jesus said in the New Testament “pray for your enemies” we have to pray for Africa as well as the rest of the world. This statement wasn’t a statement to pacify his enslaved people, but to urge them to maintain their humanity despite the Romans lack of humanity towards his people and themselves. The world is spiraling out of control because humanity is no longer in control of this planet and Hell has erupted all over the globe. Regardless of how horrible things get, no one wants to care until Hell’s fire is burning down their doors. But by then it’s too late and our neighbors won’t lift a finger, but to record your demise on the latest smartphone in 4k resolution to be uploaded to social media. Pray for ourselves and the entire world and mean it. That’s what separates humanity from the beasts of the field.

revenge and petty gripes. Although many have enslaved and slaughtered us we’ve also done the same to each other which is something we should be more concerned with.

So-called revolutionaries will pump up their fists and recite the horrors that European nations have exacted on Africa and Africans worldwide, but seem to forget about Rwanda, Liberia, Uganda, Sudan, Somalia, South Africa, Sierra Leone, La Cote Di’voire (The Ivory Coast) and the ghetto of every major U.S. city. Because we’ve adopted the characteristics of our oppressors and aggressors we’ve become just as savage and brutal to each other. The hypocrisy is now at an all-time high as many countries have been bombarded by terrorist attacks that have claimed the lives of civilians in the most brutal fashion. Yes, my people have endured tragedies that would’ve eradicated others from the face of the planet, but through the grace of The Creator we’re still here.

Instead of living for “our time” of vengeance, we should be living to set a better example to those without the capability of showing empathy for others. We can’t expect The Creator to deliver us if we are becoming the evil we fight against. Am I advocating bowing our heads and letting those that aim to destroy us get a “Hall Pass”? Absolutely not, above all self-preservation should be paramount, but we can’t turn into what we despise to win. We can’t change the past, but we can change the future by regaining our humanity. If not we are doomed to repeat the tragedies of our past.

You cannot expect to fight a brutal enemy and defeat them by becoming exactly like the enemy. If that strategy is implemented, the enemy has already won and we will be fighting a losing battle. When a nine year old boy is executed in a Chicago alley we should look at it the same way we looked at it when those monsters murdered Emmitt Till or when a young white male guns down nine people including a United States Senator in a church. We can’t dismiss the inner cities as solely the fault of the people that
