The 31sr Annual Stellar Awards have come and gone. What a weekend it was.

From midnight bowling to n all wite party, the Sellars had plenty of events to keep you occupied. One particular event was the fashion show and new artist showcase hosted by Dorinda Calark Cole. New gospe artists got the opportunity to showcase their talent to all those present for the event .

On the Red Carpet

Rickey Smiley did not disappoint. He made sure to come out and welcome all those waiting in line to interview the artists participating in the processional. AMong the icons in attendanc wer Tramaine Hawkins, Dr, Bobby JOnes, and Rishard Smallwood.

The clear winner of the evening was Anthony Brown who walked away with 10 awards which included: Male Vocalist of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year. Brown is quickly becoming recognized as a force in the gospel music industry.

"I wondered if last night was just a dream. It feels like a dream,” wrote Brown in an emotional Instagram post. “It’s not the awards that has me so emotional,” he continued. “It’s the fact that GOD remembers. He keeps record of your labor, the serving you do behind the scenes, the painful moments, the tears you cry.”

It was an amazing night for an amazing talent. We are looking forward to hearing more from Anthony Brown in the future.

Three-time Stellar Award winner Tasha Cobbs returned to the stage to perform “Put A Praise On It” and to accept three awards for Albertina Walker Female Vocalist of the Year, Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year and Praise and Worship CD of the Year. The elated first-ever six time Stellar Award nominee shared with the audience, “There was a hunger in my heart, a longing in my spirit to be at the feet of Jesus. I was thinking, the world is talking about formation, but I believe the church needs to get back to our formation and that’s at the feet of Jesus.”
