Where are you from originally?
I'm from East Orange, NJ.
When did you know yu were blessed with such a gift?
I knew when I was about 11. I had been singing obsessively since I was little and it wasn't until I sang happy birthday to someone at age 11 that I knew I could sing. My prayers were answered. Through the years after that, I noticed that people would get really emotional when I sang. That's when I knew my voice was a gift that would touch people.
Who are your heroes in life?
Jesus and Darryl Farmer
How has your faith he;lped you in your life and yoru career?
My faith has been my foundation. My faith has sustained me and carried me. It has kept me grounded and sane. Lol
Any advice for someone who wants to be just like Antonique Smith?
Make sure you have a solid relationship with God, surround yourself with people who love you cause they will be the encouragement you need in the hard times. Practice, practice, practice. Be great. And never give up.
