modicums of measurable makeovers for self, family and community. I encourage you to expand your horizons, get to know Dr. Dyson as I have. I’m impressed with the many adjunct operations she has going on, and how she has lent her expertise to her extra-curricular activities such as the innovative ‘GET IN THE KNOW motivational lecture series, and the deepdish SOUL SISTERS MENTORING PROGRAM. With all of this on her plate, there’s still room to embrace what she’s advocating in her tireless HIV/AIDS advocacy, and heart-felt efforts in the elimination of sexual promiscuity among youth, both nationally and globally. She is the resident medical panelist for Black Entertainment Television's Rap-It-Up HIV/AIDS Campaign, and host of Dr. Jeri Speaks, a popular weekly internet radio show for teens and parents. Taking a page or two out of Dr. Dyson’s prescription for success for both parent and teen is par for a course where the law of averages pan out. In her own words she admonishes, “My purpose in life is to help teens unearth their energetic creativity in this realm…showing them how to tap into that inner voice, that quietness knowing within them that says,“You house the solution to everything that ails the world.” WOW! How poignant is that? Wouldn’t this be something that you should want to share with any wayward teen? One of the most amazing things I found unique and tangible was Dr. Dyson formatting a special series for parents and adults who may have a difficult time discussing and implementing topic with their teenagers. We know how important sex education is and the good doctor feels that it should start at home.
