Do you believe that high net worth Vendors would prefer to list with you because of your Chinese connections.

An interesting question. Yes. It is obvious to me that the allure of my existing database and connections are a definite attraction. Also, Black Diamondz’ original international marketing strategies combined with the readily available funds of my Chinese buyers make it an easy choice for vendors to join my books. However when you are dealing with properties valued at $30M, $40M and higher, there is a large amount of secrecy and discretion involved for both the vendor and the purchaser. This means a lot of the time a vendor can prefer an off market listing. However a little bit of healthy competition can help push the right buyer in the right direction. It becomes a little frustrating when my team’s vendors with properties around $3M, $6M are so adamant on an off market listing, but still wanting to capitalise on our Chinese buyer. All real estate agents would appreciate this frustration…. How are we going to sell something when we can’t even say it’s for sale?!

Do you have a “Mantra” – a professional and lifestyle regiment that you abide by. In other words, is you day to day life structured.

I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I said my day was structured. It’s a crazy exciting world out there and each and every one of my days is full of crazy and exciting adventures. Like all agents, my phone is on 24/7 and a little secret my husband Jad might cringe that I’ve told you is that if a possible buyer called me at around midnight most nights, I’d be in the middle of my Zumba lesson….. literally.

Do you like the title of being the $200 Million Dollar Woman – even though you have exceeded that?

I’m certainly not complaining about the title and yes, we have now well and truly surpassed $200M. But having said that, I choose not to live in the past, I do look forward to the future but I always enjoy living in the now.
