celebrates 10 year anniversary

elcome to the first edition of South
African Real Estate Investor Maga-
zine (REIM). Our mission is simple.
We want to help people build personal
wealth through property investment.”
These were the opening lines of our very first edition in
2007. Our goal has remained intact, with our sole focus be-
ing the sharing of information with property investors. Much
has changed in the global property market, but one thing has
stayed the same: Real Estate still offers the savvy investor
many opportunities for wealth and personal growth.
September marks the 10th birthday of REIM
In 10 short years Real Estate Investor Magazine (REIM),
has grown from a small start-up bi-monthly magazine in
September 2007 to one the most established and leading
monthly brand names in the real estate business. Available

quite a bit.
We’ve had massive highs
and lows, inspired many to in-
vest, learned a lot, met and re-

to be more successful. We pride ourselves on staying up-to-
date with the movements within the real estate industry.
To commemorate our first decade as investors’ most trusted
source of property information, access to property tools, and
news, we look back at some of the miestones and highlights
that have captivated readers since 2007.

leased on 1 September 2007 REIM as an A4

order distributed in major book shops.
• Incidentally, our first edition came shortly
after the interest rate was raised to 13.5%
(having been increased by 0.5% six times
since June 2006). This left property inves-
tors in a tight spot, with
