Introducing
Award-winning
Author
~ Douglas B. Carlyle ~
“Writing Fiction &
Saving Lives…….
All in a Day’s Work”
Engineer, Rancher, Firefighter, Paramedic, Instructor,
Father, Grandfather & Husband Turns to Writing
Doug Carlyle grew up in Urbana, Illinois where he graduated from the University of
Illinois with, of all things for a
novelist, a degree in electrical
engineering. After a circuitous journey that took him
through 26 glorious years in
the semiconductor industry, he
began writing great fiction. He
also married, raised a family,
and relocated to his Domarja
Mesa Ranch in the Central
Texas Hill Country.
Against this backdrop of
mountains, valleys, live water,
and wildlife, he is writing fiction intended to touch all of
his readers in a very special
way.
Never being able to choose
just one pastime, he continues
to practice his 32-year long
medical ministry as a firefighter/paramedic, while filling
in the gaps in his calendar writing, signing, or selling his
books.
Doug is a member of the Writers' League of Texas, the
American Society of Freelancers, and the Houston Writers
Guild.
Readers have lavished praise
upon his first novel, an exquisite family drama, In Search of
the Fuller Brush Man. The
Book Readers Appreciation
Group recognized the novel as
one of their 2012 Honorees.
Many of those same readers
have raved over his subsequent
novels.
Vinegarone is a wonderful
romantic fantasy set in the land
of the Devils River, Texas.
Boundaries is a racy, riveting,
psychological thriller.
Death by Times New Roman is the debut novel of his
Cat Kavanagh Mystery Series.
Doug is a successful, indie
author. You can find his books
available in print and e-book
format at Amazon, Barnes &
Noble, or Createspace. He
welcomes Skyping with book
clubs and will ship signed copies of his novels anywhere in
the world.
