And that change came from within. Not from me trying to change my outside world.

#5: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

As far as I’m concerned, this is the grand-daddy of all personal growth and development books. Quite

frankly, this is the book I recommend the most. Not because we’re all after the money master but because this book is about your mindset. Period.

How persistent are you when it comes to your life’s dreams? How tenacious are you? How hard are you willing to work on you to achieve your desired outcome? Do you have a definite purpose backed by burning desire? Or do you quit at the first sign of defeat?

As you read through this treasure trove of wisdom, pay particular attention to the “Famous Alibis of Old Man IF.”

If only is the alibi that keeps us rooted deep inside our comfort zone.

“Lack of decision,” Hill writes, “was near the head of the list of the 30 major causes of failure.” Old Man If keeps us in a perpetual state of indecision.

I have this book in every format

possible – hardback, paperback, workbook, eBook and yes, audio. I even have it on my Kindle for iPhone. It’s a keeper in every format!

So there you have it – my top five books that I recommend all the time. Make sure one of them is in your Amazon shopping cart or visit your local library to borrow.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
