REACH June 2013 | Page 2

2 REACH – September 2013 RACP Release # 01, Series of 2013 REACH is a printed initiative in conformity to one of the roles spelled out for the school’s representative to the Regional Applied Communications Program – more commonly known as RACP. The RACP is expected to come up with creative ideas utilizing all available media (print, broadcast, electronic) in shedding spotlight to the accomplishments as well as projected direction for the Research and Extension undertakings of the State College… in addition, of course, to the usual face-to-face or interpersonal mode of putting forward the same accomplishments and directions. REACH therefore deviates from the usual outings of regularly printed materials, in that it may produce a reading material anytime it has been deemed to be worth-sharing. There is no set frequency of producing releases, in the same way that there shall be no partiality of subjects to be covered and featured in its pages. Research plans, current attainments, actual outputs, future targets… Extension strategies, current course of actions, actual results, lessons learned… The people involved in the ventures, the key actors, the collaborators, the supporters, the evaluators, the beneficiaries, and all other subjects within the sphere of Research and Extension – especially THE RESEARCHER and THE EXTENSION WORKER – all of them are worthy subjects that can be contained within REACH. We hope to come up with a splashy initial release, but – considering the limitations – this is what we can, at this time, REACH. MARCIANO A. PAROY JR. RACP Rep KASC RESEARCH AGENDA 1.
