Welcome Spring is definitely in the air and it is a great feeling to leave Re: Towers after a hard day’s editing to find that it is still daylight outside. This issue is our 10th one and we are so pleased with how well received Re: Magazine has been. We have had some amazing interviews since our first one with author Peter James who has remained a firm friend to the magazine since. Some of the people we have had the pleasure of talking to include: Ben Hillman from 60 Minute Makeover. TV wine guru Olly Smith [a favourite interview of mine], Glyndebourne’s Gus Christie, kids’ TV star Sid Sloane, Cheryl Baker [who we managed to make cry], actress Julie Graham, real life action man Neil Laughton, cricketer Tony Cottey, legendary Herbie Flowers, Mr Love – Ambrose Harcourt and in the last issue, superstar chef Atul Kochhar. If you missed any previous issues and are interested you can see them all online on the Mayo Wynne Baxter website or drop me a line and I’ll try and find a copy to send to you. I have also had a cocktail named after me called Errors Edge and Ben Leggett from DrinkingCup.net has written a superb piece on the dark history of one of our favourite tipples, gin. Wes is back with some wines he has tried and I’ve been out reviewing restaurants [it’s a tough job but someone has to do it]. This issue sees Liza catching up with former EastEnder Carol Harrison who shares tales of treading the boards, teaching and of course her time on one of the country’s popular soaps on page 8. Lastly I would like to say a big thank you to Richard, Rob and Steve our designers who have worked furiously to get this issue out for us. Good work chaps. We’ve been up to quite a bit since last issue including launching a brand new office at The Beehive in Gatwick. This listed iconic building was the original terminal building for the airport and you can read more about it on page 98. We have also had Christmas and seen in the New Year, resolutions are already long forgotten. During that time I was invited to be a judge in the Sussex Business Awards and the winners can be found on page 102. Page 44 has a scrumptious recipe for Bramley Apple Cake with Rhubarb & Vanilla Mascarpone from the very talented Liz at Sylvia’s kitchen and if you are trying this at home please take a picture and email it in to us; we would love to see how you get on. There is so much crammed into this issue including Emma Parrish’s trip to Mexico, Laurence’s weekend away in a Porsche and a whole host of articles on the law and how they could affect you or your business. As always I really hope you enjoy this issue and I welcome any comments you may have so feel free to drop me a line at [email protected] Jason Edge Editor It’s always a bit manic in the Re: Magazine office around deadline and we occasionally miss the odd typo so if you spot one, do let me know.
