December saw one of those rare opportunities for the
sensible legal types at Mayo Wynne Baxter to let their hair
down for a good old fashioned party.
The firm’s social committee did a sterling job of not only securing the newly
refurbished Clarence Suite at the Brighton Hilton Metropole for our Christmas
party but also for setting a Gatsby theme which many of the Partners and staff fully
embraced as you will see from the pics.
During the course of the meal the social committee had a few surprises in the guise
of an impromptu awards ceremony with categories including: Best Dressed, Most
Charitable Person, Most Committed, Biggest Achievement and Most Embarrassing
Moment which was won by Re: Magazine’s sports guru Laurence Elphick (although
we obviously can’t tell you why).
