The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain has been delighting
audiences and selling out performances since 1985.
After roof-raising, foot-stomping shows last year at the
Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall in London,
and Carnegie Hall in New York, their 2013 world tour
continues apace, into 2014, with shows in Britain, USA,
France, Switzerland and Germany. Eight performers, eight
instruments, eight voices with no gimmicks they’ve brought
houses down with catchy, emotive, stomping and toe
tapping songs, banter and wit.
Anarchic, funny, virtuosic, thought-provoking and mind
blowing, the UOGB’s crash through popular music; a footstomping obituary of rock and roll and melodious light
entertainment in a collision of post-punk performance and
toe-tapping oldies.

shrouded in sacrifice and misunderstanding. The title La Traviata
means literally The Fallen Woman, or perhaps more figuratively,
The Woman Who Strayed.
Based on La Dame aux Camélias, a play adapted from the novel
by Alexandre Dumas, La Traviata combines compelling characters
