There is wildfowl everywhere, ducks and swans and if you are lucky you will spot the Peacock friends we decided to take a stroll to one of the local pubs in the area. To get there we just needed to walk across the grounds and across the fairway of the golf course for a few drinks before returning for dinner booked in the Castle View Restaurant. The main attraction of the Castle View Restaurant is to dine in a setting which overlooks the Castle all lit up at night. The service and food was nice and a lovely experience for our first visit to the Castle. After our meal in the restaurant it was time to go and live like a King and Queen in the Maidens Tower. It was eerie at first, as after a day when hundreds of people were wandering the grounds we came across nobody apart from the Gatekeeper who let us in to our accommodation for the night. The next morning our breakfast was served in the Fairfax restaurant which set us up for the rest of the day exploring the grounds and visiting the inside of the Castle. 92
