Rockinghorse Roundup
Since our last Rockinghorse Roundup, we have been busy raising even more money for
our partner charity – Rockinghorse Children’s Charity.
Of course there was Pancake Day, where staff donated £2 to top their pancake with a
variety of yummy treats.
We cannot forget the Brighton Medieval Banquet Saturday 25th March – this was a
fundraising event like no other! Everyone got into the spirit by dressing up in medieval
attire, the food was fantastic, and best of all, we raised just under £25,000 for the charity.
Chris, the CEO of Mayo Wynne Baxter, is running 50 miles in aid of Rockinghorse,
starting of with the Eastbourne half marathon which took place Sunday 5th March. Our
Marketing Director, Jason, attended the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity quiz night at
the County Cricket Ground, which rose over £7,600. Also PR Executive, Amber, will be
running the British 10K 9th July for Rockinghorse. Visit her JustGiving page here - http://

The YRes Quiz
Our Family Team in Brighton have been
busy raising funds for Rise and Safe in
Sussex, local charities which provide
essential support and advice for victims
of domestic abuse within Sussex,
helping organise the East Sussex and
West Sussex YRes Charity Quiz Night
at the Freemason’s Pub in Hove on 27
April 2017.
Richard Adams, who is an Associate
Solicitor in our Family Team, is currently
the chair of East Sussex YRes, whilst
Susie Parsons, a Paralegal in the
team, is also a committee member.
YRes is Resolution’s network of family
law professionals at the start of their
careers. As a Resolution member
first and foremost, YRes members are
committed to adopting a constructive
approach to family law issues.
The evening was a great success, with
10 teams taking part, made up of local
solicitors, barristers and charity workers.
There was a brilliant raffle with lots of
excellent prizes on offer. Thanks to
the generosity of the teams, the final
amount raised for the charities was
£477, which we are sure will go to very
good use, supporting their vital work in
the community.
