I have had the pleasure of staying in a lot of hotels in my 40 something years , some good and some not so good . So when somebody told me that the Hotel du Vin ( HdV ) has the best hotel bedroom in Brighton I took it with a pinch of salt . Despite living in the city I have stayed in around 20 different hotels in Brighton and I have been a judge in the Brighton & Hove Hoteliers Awards so I have slept in some great rooms .
