Porsche Experience Day with Mayo Wynne Baxter
We teamed up with Porsche Mid Sussex for an exclusive ‘ Ride and Drive ’ networking event . The day provided opportunities for guests to test drive an exciting range of cars including the new Panamera . Other cars being featured on the day included the Cayenne Hybrid , Cayenne V8 , 718 Boxster , 718 Cayman , Boxster 2.0 and Mecan S Diesel . The highly anticipated event was held on Thursday 24th November at luxury five star hotel South Lodge , located in Horsham , West Sussex . The location itself was surrounded by beautiful scenery , breath-taking buildings , entering into high rise ceilings , hanging chandeliers and regal decor .
As well as a day of expensive cars and networking , guests were treated to light lunch , which consisted of fresh salad , beautifully cooked fish and tender chicken , a selection of soup ’ s , bread and desserts , finishing off later in the afternoon with a finger buffet to satisfy cravings . There were also complimentary goody bags to take away at the end of the day .
Networking on the day was a huge success , with local businesses in attendance such as Brighton ’ s Sea Life Centre and members of local press including ; Absolute Magazine and Sussex Business Times .
Eastbourne Law Society Ball
The annual Eastbourne Law Society Ball was again the highlight of the Law Society ’ s social calendar and in line with tradition was held in the Garden Restaurant at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne . Speeches took place before dinner , with this year ’ s President , Richard Palmer opening the evening and welcoming its members and guests . Thanks were given to Alexandra Funnell and Jade Nunes for organising the event . This year , Judge Robinson took centre stage , giving a heartfelt speech about the forthcoming closure of the Eastbourne County Court and the efforts made to oppose this . It is true to say access to justice will be affected for those not only in Eastbourne but the surrounding areas and in particular will impact on both family and criminal proceedings . After a three course meal with the best pecan pie I have ever tasted , members and guests retired to the Compton Room for dancing . Music from the popular local band , Sound of the Crowd , provided the perfect entertainment of 80s hits to close the evening .
